DCJ Leads Judiciary Team in Ghana Benchmarking Exercise

A 13-member delegation from the Uganda Judiciary led by the Deputy Chief Justice, Hon. Justice Richard Buteera was on a 10-day hands-on knowledge exchange and learning experience in Ghana. The team comprised of both Judicial Officers and senior administrators.
The visit which was in partnership with UNDP and aimed at visiting Ghana Courts, the Judiciary projects, initiatives and innovations in place and interact with Judiciary officials and share experiences and learning from the counterparts in Ghana.
The DCJ and his delegation were received by the Ghanaian Chief Justice, Hon. Justice Kwasi Anin-Yeboah, who took them on a detailed knowledge-sharing session.
On the sidelines of the visit, the Judiciary and UNDP delegation paid a courtesy call to His Majesty Asantehene, Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II, who expressed pride in the Judiciary of Ghana and their work in upholding the rule of law and enhancing access to justice.
The Ghanian Chief Justice introduced the DCJ and his delegation to King Otumfuo.
